Silver Stirrup Tournaments

Apex Riding Academy tries to host as many tournaments as our Arizona weather can permit. Our Silver Stirrup Tournament series is designed to provide an opportunity for all levels of riders to gain confidence and build self-esteem while developing riding skills in a fun and safe environment. Most of our riders want to attend this no-pressure tournament series with the goal of moving toward a performance show. This is more of a stepping stone in their learning.  As trainers, we are molding students for the possibility of competing in performance, but this is not a mandate nor our only goal. For those that don't choose to take that path, we want them to enjoy these tournaments for team building, confidence, self-esteem including life skills such as leadership and communication. 

A very important component of our Tournament series involves a dedication percentage of the proceeds from every event to the Silver Stirrup Foundation, our nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide equine activities and educational training to at-risk or underprivileged adults and children and members of our local community. 

Tournaments are on Apex property held on Sundays though-out the year. No horse ownership is required. 

The tournaments will have a sign-up approximately one week before each date. (they fill up fast).  The current cost per student is $200.00.  Each tournament has a variety of classes and games.
