Riders/Parents Expectations
Please arrive for your lessons at least 15 minutes early to allow time to get yourself and your horse prepared for the lesson and allow time after the lesson to take care of your horse if needed. Riders will receive a riding lesson per week that aligns with the tuition you have selected, this lesson will be a private 30-minute session in the beginning until the instructor recommends the rider is ready to join the appropriate group. All riders eventually will move to a semi-private group once ready.

Iffy days

There are times when the weather is ‘iffy’ and could turn into a great day to ride or could be horrible. So to not waste your time or ours, we have lesson plans for those ‘Iffy Days’...
Iffy Day's gives your rider the chance to still come out and have a lesson regardless of the conditions here. If the weather clears and it is safe to ride, we will teach on horseback. If the weather holds in an iffy state, we will have ground-based lessons. This could be grooming and tacking, it could be clipping or lunging. There are endless topics we would love to teach our riders, and with this format, we won't be wasting your time and you or child will learn excellent horse care knowledge. We have the right to decide if the weather is permitted for these lessons, Cancellations WILL NOT be accepted for last-minute weather cancellations by the Rider.

Social media can be a fun and useful tool to communicate with barn mates, friends, coaches, instructors, and more. Social media can also be a dangerous tool if you are not careful. Every picture, link, quote, tweet, status, Snapchat, or post that you or your friends put online is forever a part of your digital footprint. You never know when it might come back to hurt or help your reputation during a showing, team tryouts, college acceptance, getting a job, receiving awards, or any other important area in your life. A negative social media image also reflects negatively on your sport and Apex Riding Academy.

Social Media Acknowledgement Rules Must Be Signed

Our reputation always precedes us. Please remember that people will share things with others. The resulting perceptions and exaggerations can lead to misinterpretation. Protect yourself and your barn by thinking before you post anything on social media.

Violations of our rules will result in a one-time warning. After that, a parent meeting will follow.
