FAQs

How Do lessons work?

Our program offers flexible start dates, allowing students to begin classes any day of the month. Lessons are 30 minutes once a week, designed to fit busy schedules and promote consistent learning. Tuition is charged monthly, due on the first, covering four lessons per month. Students progress at their own pace, with noticeable improvements after about eight lessons, and can start joining group sessions, which are highly recommended.

To get started with us, simply sign up for an Intro lesson and tour by clicking here. If you've previously taken lessons with us, great news—you already have an account, reach out vcia email and we will get you started!  Our team is eager to assist you with any questions or concerns. Once you're enrolled, that day and time are all yours! We're committed to seeing you in class each week.

how tuition is calculated?

Tuition is billed on the 1st business day of each month and will vary depending on the number of classes scheduled in the month. Billing will continue until you submit your 15-day cancellation notice. Monthly tuition is not always the same. Some months have 5 lessons/weeks. The total monthly tuition is higher for those months. Some months have 4 lessons and possibly fewer due to holidays and closures. The total monthly tuition is lower for those months. If you know in advance you will be on vacation for a week of your upcoming month you can let the office know and we can prorate that month in advance.  All memberships are NONREFUNDABLE

what do i need or wear to my lesons?

After 8 LESSONS at Apex, we require our riders to own their own boots, riding pants, helmet. We believe that after 8 lessons, you are able to tell if your rider is interested enough to continue. Helmet, Boots, pants are a large part in committing to this sport. We require bootcut jods for our riders. Please ask for a “correct apparel list from your instructor.” We recommend zip-up paddock riding boots . There are many helmets on the market, but please purchase one that is ASTM Approved/SEI Certified. Helmets should be fitted in-store if you go to Greenway Saddlery in Scottsdale, or by an instructor. We recommend black in case your rider ever wants to show in a fun show or academy show.
* After 3 MONTHS of lessons at Apex, we require our riders to purchase their own stirrups and leathers recommended by Apex. The reason we ask for these purchases is that it provides the same length of stirrup with each ride which allows your rider to be confident in their skills. The cost of stirrups & leathers are $225. Please talk to your instructor when you are ready to purchase.
