Our Beginner Tuition is the next step after the rider has completed the Introductory session or Tiny Tot program. Riders will begin to ride on their own in this class with additional practice with a small number of other students or private. These classes are 30 minutes in length, but we highly encourage arriving 10 minutes early.
Riders will begin navigating directions, the anatomy of a horse, learn how to tack up their horse, and continue their horsemanship knowledge and journey. Tuition is paid the first of the month and nonrefundable, riders can schedule a weekly lesson as part of their tuition. Any classes excused will be granted a token to use within 30 days for a makeup session.
Riders will be required to wear riding boots, jodphurs (riding pants), and helmet. After the competition of one month's lessons you are required to purchase your own helmet and gloves.
For the riders and students who are looking to enhance their skills and experiences, even more, Apex offers the Intermediate/Advanced lesson tuition. This tuition is for the riders who have completed the Beginner level. Riders in this level will be able to walk, trot, post correctly on the right diagonal, and be learning how to cue your horse to canter and knowing if your horse is on the right lead.
Advanced riders can also start looking into leveling up and getting ready to be a part of our Academy Team if you choose.

Our Tournament Tuition covers 4 lessons per month, 3 Silver Stirrup tournaments, and a request from the rider on who they wish to ride at the tournaments. We provide the option to purchase add-on tournaments and lessons through out the year. This tournament tuition will also include 2 discovery days. These discovery days are a newer addition to our program which allow our students to have a fun filled day of education and learn these fantastic animals we all love. For more information about our Silver Stirrup Tournaments visit: Silver Stirrup Tournament Page
For students who are interested in competing in horse shows, Apex Riding Academy maintains a quality string of show horses.
Our Academy Tuition Includes 8 lessons per month, 2 Academy shows as well as your choice in 2 Silver Stirrup tournaments throughout the year. We provide the option to purchase add-on lessons or tournaments at a discounted price. Our equestrian teams and tuition's provide our students with exposure to horses they otherwise may not have. It’s great to see the teamwork and dedication our students develop through the relationships they build, not only with their horses but also with each other.
Tuition is paid the first of the month and is non-refundable, riders/parents will be able to pick which Academy shows they wish to attend, as well as their two desired Silver Stirrup Tournament dates. Any tournaments and Academy shows missed will NOT allow you to be able to roll over due to the lack of academy shows in our area. If missed, academy shows can be replaced with other Silver Stirrup Tournament dates.
Riders enrolled in their first 8 classes are not required to purchase any specialized equipment or clothing. Riders are however required to wear long pants and hard-soled boots. Helmets are provided by Apex.
